Cannon Surfer: A Beginner's Guide
So here's the deal with Cannon Surfer: you're basically riding a ball that's been fired out of a cannon, and your only job is to not smack into anything on the way to the finish line. Sounds simple. It's not, really, because the track keeps throwing blocks at you from angles you don't expect, and one clumsy drift into a wall sends you right back to square one. The first few runs are going to feel messy, and that's fine. Nobody clears this thing clean on attempt one, so don't sweat the early stumbles.
Controller & Keyboard Guide
There's no complicated button mashing here, no combo lists to memorize. You just drag to move, sliding your ball cannon left and right (and sometimes forward-focused, depending on the layout of the stretch you're on) across the path. It's a touch-friendly, mouse-friendly setup, so whether your hand is on a trackpad or your thumb is on a phone screen, the response feels pretty direct. Small drags for tight squeezes, bigger sweeps when you need to yank yourself out of danger fast.
Top Tips
Keep your eyes a couple of seconds ahead of your ball rather than staring right at it, since the blocks telegraph their position just early enough for you to react if you're actually looking. Growing your tank matters more than it seems at first glance, because a beefed-up cannon shrugs off hits that would've wrecked a weaker one, so grab those upgrades whenever the path lets you swing by them. If a boss section is chewing you up and you're running low on options, that rainbow shell sitting on your right isn't just decoration, it's your bailout button, use it before you're desperate instead of after. Also, resist the urge to hug the center of the lane out of habit; sometimes the safest line is hilariously close to the edge. And don't tense up on the drag, a loose wrist reacts quicker than a locked one ever will.
