Leading The Shot Fixes Most Tank Misses

Turret speed gets blamed for a lot of misses that are really an aiming habit. Four fixes below cover most of them.

Lead moving targets, don't track them

Aiming directly at a moving tank usually means the shell lands behind it. Placing the shot slightly ahead of the movement connects far more often.

Fire from cover, not the open

Reloading in the open invites a return shot before the turret is ready again. Retreating behind terrain during the reload cycle avoids that risk entirely.

Account for shell drop at range

Long-distance shots often need a slightly raised aim to compensate for drop - firing dead-level at range tends to land short.

Don't waste shots on angled armor

A shell fired at a heavily angled plate often bounces harmlessly. Waiting for a flatter angle or a side shot lands more consistent damage.

None of this needs a ballistics course to apply - a few battles is usually enough to get a feel for the timing.
